Northern APC members Babachir Lawal and Former Speaker Yakubu Dogara have within a week declared their supports for Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, after failure to secure a Vice Presidential slot in their party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Babachir was a hardened supporter from Tinubu’s days as Governor of Lagos State, until he made a U turn recently when the party insisted on Muslim/Muslim  Presidential ticket,  which in turn destabilized his chances of becoming a Vp.

On Thursday, under the umbrella of  Northern APC Christians Group through Babachir said they would chose Peter Obi after a thorough review among all candidates vying for the Presidential seat, they insisted Obi/Datti ticket is original for a change in dynamics.

He also spoke on Channels Tv “ Politics Today’ where he’s quoted as follows;

“ During the convention, he did not allow us go to the South-East…

- he said it was a waste of time and money…”

Babachir said on Channels Tv when he was reviewing Tinubu’s chances of winning the election, he added that the APC Candidate, Bola Asiwaju Tinubu , can not win the election.

Former House of Representatives Speaker, Yakubu Dogara who represented  Bogoro/Dass Federal constituency of Bauchi State, between 2015 and 2019. Sacked by a High Court presided by Judge D, U. Okorowo that ruled Dogora Defection from PDP on 24th of July, 2020 to APC was unacceptable and declared his legislative seat vacant.

Remember, Dogara left the PDP after contesting and winning his re-election  bid under the party, then he defected to All Progressives Congress, APC and won the majority seats that saw him as the Speaker.

Hon. Yakubu Dogara the former speaker, showed support for the Obi/Datti campaign with his Apc Christian member Babachir Lawal.
