APC HOLDS RALLY IN LAGOS.

The ongoing presidential campaign rally of APC candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu continues in Lagos on Saturday. The Rally saw in attendance NWC members , Governors from the All Progressives Congress; Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State , Simon Lalung of plateau State, Aminu Masari of Katsina State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara state, among others .



While rally holds currently at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere , Lagos State. According to Adediran, the Lagos State government forced traders to close for the day because of the rally . Olajide Adediran, PDP Governorship candidate for Lagos Also alleged that The Chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garages Management committee, Mr Musiliu Akinsanya AKA MC  Oluomo threatened to punish whoever open for business at the market and also forced traders to attend the rally against their will.

The PDP opposition candidate, Olajide Adediran said traders should not be oppressed to attend events they don’t want to attend and they should be allowed to trade freely under the protection of Nigerian Constitution. 


 Statement to the press reads.


“ Any act to intimidate or threaten them to attend a program against their wish is criminal or inhuman “ He further Advised Nigerians to endure the remaining term of the ruling party and also warned the authority to stop inflicting pains on ordinary citizen trying to survive tough economy.

2.7 Million living with HIV - UNICEF

Image: Pixabay   According to UNICEF, more than 110 children between the ages of 0-19 years died from AIDS in 2021 and the report also states that there’re 310,000 newly infected cases, which makes up 2.7million people living with HIV currently.   The report point out that    new HIV infections among younger children within 0 - 14years reduced by 52% from 2010 to 2021 and infections among adolescents with the age range of 15 - 19years also reduced by 40% .  Meanwhile antiretroviral drugs among pregnant women living with HIV also increased from 46% to 81% within the span of 10years.  Adults living with HIV has been increasing for the past seven years, currently 20% higher than children . With a percentage of 71, just like it was high in 2012. This was published in New York by UNICEF on November 28, 2022.

ICPC arrests Dbanj for fraud.

ICPC arrests/detains dbanj for fraudulently siphoning N-Power funds, reports says he connived with some government officials, created ghost beneficiaries and paid the money into accounts which have been linked to him.  Founded by President Muhammadu Buhari, N-power is structured to address the issue of unemployment and also help increase social development . The scheme is part of National Social Investment Program, a social welfare scheme created by the Federal government of Nigeria to provide skills acquisition and jobs for youths and a monthly salary of N30,000.
