OIL DISCOVERED IN BAUCHI/GOMBE STATES.

BAUCHI STATE BECAME AN OIL PRODUCING STATE ...


The ground-breaking ceremony of the Kolmani Oil Prospecting Lease (OPL) 809 and 810 at the Kolmani field site in Bauchi and Gombe States was conducted by President Muhammadu Buhari, who arrived Bauchi State on Tuesday. Buhari was welcomed by northeast governors, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state, Simon Lalong of Plateau state, Babagana Zulum of Borno State amongst others.

Crude Oil

Kolmani Oil Prospecting Lease (OPL) 809 and 810 at the Kolmani field is the first to be discovered in the north in commercial quantities. Oil drilling was flagged off for exploration.  



Supervision of the drilling exercise was first done in October 2019, during which the President and Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), 

then a corporation (2years Ago), announced the encountering of oil in “commercial quantities at the Kolmani River Well II.

CAN GOMBE AND BAUCHI STATES BECOME THE NEXT SAUDIA ARABIA?

This new discovery will boost the economy and also create job opportunities for the two states and environ, as it is the first to be discovered in the North. Sterling Global Oil, New Nigeria Development Commission (NNDC) and NNPC, will be the developers of the newly discovered oil fields.

Last year, The Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) issued a request for expressions of intrest (EoI).

ICPC arrests Dbanj for fraud.

ICPC arrests/detains dbanj for fraudulently siphoning N-Power funds, reports says he connived with some government officials, created ghost beneficiaries and paid the money into accounts which have been linked to him.  Founded by President Muhammadu Buhari, N-power is structured to address the issue of unemployment and also help increase social development . The scheme is part of National Social Investment Program, a social welfare scheme created by the Federal government of Nigeria to provide skills acquisition and jobs for youths and a monthly salary of N30,000. NNPC remmits zero dollars since 2014

Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emfiele admits that remittance from crude oil sales went from $3 billion to zero, $0.00, under his watch & that of the President & Minister of Petroleum.
