FIFA CHIEF FIRED BACK AT CRITICS. #FIFA2022
FIFA World Cup 2022 will kick off on Sunday, November 20, with the host Qatar facing Ecuador and alcohol of any kind will not be allowed in stadiums, this was made clear by FIFA Chief, Gianni Infantino.
During the World cup Eve news conference, Gianni Infantino fired back at critics, suggesting there is hypocrisy and inconsistency when the world focuses on issues in Qatar rather than other nations or groups of people discriminated against.
On Europe's criticism of Qatar, Infantino had more to say.
" I think for what we Europeans have been doing for 3,000 years around
the world, we should be apologizing for the next 3,000 years before starting
to give moral lessons to people."
During the news conference, FIFA chief Gianni Infantino hailed the "commercial success" of the #Qatar2022 World Cup, saying FIFA was set to generate $600 to $700m more than past tournaments
Fans are yet to digest the no beer consumption at the stadium law. This is what one of numerous soccer lovers have to say.
" 3 hours without alcohol' but the main sponsor is Budweiser!
The zone to focus on instead of apportioning blame,
is the corruption involved in FIFA awarding Qatar the World Cup.
FIFA is far from blame and is not entitled to stand on, a very high plinth of hypocrisy ".
