I RATHER DIE THAN FAIL NIGERIANS - OBI
Peter Obi spoke, yesterday, at the Editors Forum, an initiative of the Nigerian Guild of Editors. The former Governor of Anambra State said that the nation was going through many challenges mainly because the country is a consuming instead of producing country and he also assured that if elected president, and should, thus, be held responsible for whatever happened on his watch.
The Labour Party Candidate stated his programme for the country, stating that the race for the presidency should be based on competence, character, age, and physical and mental vastness of candidates, as against religion, ethnicity, and blackmail.He further added that Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the current Governor of Anambra State has the solution for some Nigeria problems…
“ Soludo knows, and he has the solution. So I need to consult him to help me.” Obi.
Still At the NGE in Lagos, the Labour Party candidate also promised to adopt the Bangladesh model of 35% Affirmative Action, noting that he would create an atmosphere where 50 percent of Nigerian women would be included in its National Productivity Programme.
He, later assured his supporters that he would rather die than fail them.
“I am determined not to fail them. I would rather die than fail them. I am going to serve them,”
