Nnamdi Kanu urges Easterners to disregard 5day-sit-at-home order.


Detained IPOB Boss, Nnamdi Kanu told the people of Biafran to ignore the order circulating on social media sphere that’s demanding 5day sit at home order to prevent residents of South East from voting/participating in the 2023 General Election, he condemned the act and urged the people to disregard whoever are behind the misleading video and refrained from the because it’s malicious. 


This was made known by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brother , who visited DSS  where he’s currently being held. According to the statement released by Nnamdi through his brother , it reads:


“My brother said that our people should know that those who issue such orders are the enemies of Biafra and must be dealt with. 


“He told me that Biafrans  should know that he is in detention for their sake and not to accommodate problems. 


The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) boss reacts to the video in circulation threatening the people into pressurizing them into a 5day sit at home against the election, he urged the people of Biafran to go about their legitimate businesses without fear of being molested by anybody or by the masterminds of the video.


Social-cultural group in Nigeria, Ohanaeze Ndigbo , with sole aim of representing Igbo communities both within and outside Nigeria, also added that they’ve renounced whoever are the masterminds behind the 5day sit at home order being imposed on the people and that it is not in the same view with what the organization stand for.

2.7 Million living with HIV - UNICEF

Image: Pixabay   According to UNICEF, more than 110 children between the ages of 0-19 years died from AIDS in 2021 and the report also states that there’re 310,000 newly infected cases, which makes up 2.7million people living with HIV currently.   The report point out that    new HIV infections among younger children within 0 - 14years reduced by 52% from 2010 to 2021 and infections among adolescents with the age range of 15 - 19years also reduced by 40% .  Meanwhile antiretroviral drugs among pregnant women living with HIV also increased from 46% to 81% within the span of 10years.  Adults living with HIV has been increasing for the past seven years, currently 20% higher than children . ICPC arrests Dbanj for fraud.

ICPC arrests/detains dbanj for fraudulently siphoning N-Power funds, reports says he connived with some government officials, created ghost beneficiaries and paid the money into accounts which have been linked to him.  Founded by President Muhammadu Buhari, N-power is structured to address the issue of unemployment and also help increase social development . The scheme is part of National Social Investment Program, a social welfare scheme created by the Federal government of Nigeria to provide skills acquisition and jobs for youths and a monthly salary of N30,000.
